This is an exchange of mediums, resulting in visual studies marrying techniques of weaving and darkroom photography. This is part of an ongoing collaboration with Amy Tromiczak of Umlaut Textiles.
Comfort
Comfort is an ongoing series exploring regional natural flora through various darkroom photographic methods. This project began during my COVID-19 isolation as a grounding technique to connect me with my natural surroundings. With 'Comfort' I celebrate the beauty and vitality of nature's femininity, and acknowledge it as an integral part of the surrounding world: a nurtured strength of women through our connection with nature.
